Yesterday was the first Sunday with our new name on the building and with the new website. It’s looking good but more than that it is giving expression to something that is central and foundational to all we do.

Jesus is the centre! He is the beginning  and the end. He is the filter through which everything is to be understood. He is the Father’s beloved Son. He is the one who makes it possible for us to come to the Father. He is all this and much, much more.

Jesus is powerful, kind and good. 2000 years ago He walked this earth and it says of him in the book of Acts ‘God anointed [Jesus] with the Holy Spirit and with power, He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him’ (Acts 10:38)

Jesus told us we would be equipped and sent out to do the same as He did, (including the supernatural) in the power of the same Spirit.

So there it is, we His church are called to express His heart in the same way today. We are called to be just like Jesus our King.
